The Malawi Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Alliance held an Annual Programme Review Meeting that was held on 13 December, 2018 at Sun n’ Sand Holiday Resort in Mangochi district.
The function was held to review Get up Speak Out (GUSO) Programme progress that was made in 2018 as well as allow various stakeholders, government officials and other partners to input on how the programme should be steered towards achieving its intended goals.
The annual review meeting involved project progress presentations, plenary discussions, pavilion displays by all Alliance Partners, case studies by the youth, mother groups, Youth Community Based Distribution Agents (YCBDAs), Male Champions and other project beneficiaries.
Among other people, the review meeting was attended by the Chairperson for the Malawi SRHR Alliance who is also the Executive Director for Centre for Human Rights (CHRR), Timothy Mtambo; District Health Officers (DHO) and Youth Friendly Health Service (YFHS) Coordinators from Mangochi and Chikwawa districts.
The Malawi SRHR Alliance is implementing the GUSO Programme with funding from the Dutch government through the following partners; Simavi, Rutgers, IPPF, Aidsfonds, as well as the Choice for Youth and Sexuality.
