The Malawi SRHR Alliance has recruited and empowered 75 young people and women from the Mzimba South Constituency, Blantyre North Constituency, and Chiradzulu to become champions for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
These individuals were provided with a thorough orientation on the Termination of Pregnancy bill, as well as training in SRHR advocacy. This comprehensive training has significantly enhanced the advocacy skills and knowledge of the trained cadres in SRHR.
Now equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge, these trained SRHR champions will take the lead in engaging with Members of Parliament in their respective communities, as well as at the national level. They will utilize their newfound abilities to advocate for safe abortion and access to various SRHR services.
