The Malawi SRHR Alliance, a member of the Civil Society Advocacy Forum with MANASO as the secretariat, participated in a quarterly reflection meeting held on May 10th-11th, 2023.
The meeting aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing and collective advocacy efforts in areas such as HIV, TB, Malaria, and related conditions. Updates were shared regarding the progress of projects implemented by various partners, including the Ministry of Health, MANASO, GIZ, NAC, PARADISO TB Trust, and COMPASS.
Significant milestones were achieved, such as the development of a Global HIV Prevention Roadmap tailored to the country’s needs, as well as the establishment of a national task force led by NAC to oversee the roadmap’s implementation. MANASO also presented the Coalition to build Momentum Power Advocacy/Activism Strategy and Solutions (COMPASS) Africa, highlighting the opportunity to mobilize Data, Monitoring, and Evaluation Champions to support HIV advocacy initiatives.
The meeting served as a platform for collaboration and progress in advancing healthcare interventions and advocacy in Malawi.
