Key populations including female sex workers and LGBTIQ are subjected to various forms of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and this limits them from accessing health services.
Malawi SRHR Alliance works to protect and promote the Sexual Reproductive Health and rights of LGBTIQ+ and other marginalized groups in Malawi. On 17 May 2022, the Alliance engaged duty bearers in Mzimba district to strengthen the reporting mechanisms and interventions on GBV.
The duty bearers committed to work together to ensure that reporting systems are inclusive and responsive to the needs of key populations.
